A buyer's guide to custom poly bags: MOQ, sampling, printing & lead time

First custom order? The usual snags are MOQ, sampling and lead time. Here's how to spec it once, clearly.

Start with the spec: size (W×L), single-side thickness (μm / si), material (HDPE / LDPE / LLDPE or a blend), color, load requirement and packing format (roll / folded / case). The clearer the spec, the more accurate the quote.

On MOQ: stock items have low minimums; custom-printed runs usually start at 30,000–50,000 pcs per spec. More print colors mean higher plate cost; larger volumes lower the unit price.

Sampling: stock samples ship free (freight collect); custom-print samples take about 5–7 days to confirm before mass production, which avoids costly batch errors.

Lead time: production is typically 7–15 days by sea, air, express or rail — as fast as 21 days production-to-arrival. Leave a buffer in peak season.

Trade terms: EXW / FOB / CIF / DDP are all supported. For a first order we suggest starting with a small run or a stock trial, then scaling once the process is proven.
